Men's Captains Report—Summer 2001
Not a massive amount to report but only to say that we have had some good attendances at our club runs of late and it’s nice to see a lot more younger personnel
The Yateley series of 10K races had a good turnout overall and much appreciated support from fellow members who cheered us on
This year’s Brickmakers Relay Marathon went off very well bar a few minor hiccups
We entered 2 men’s teams and one ladies’ team. Our “A” men’s team were placed 6th followed by men’s “B” team 14th then our ladies’ team 16th. Out of 21 teams this was a very sound performance. A big thank you to all who helped out during the day
Anyone who might be interested in participating in this year’s river relay on the 9th Sept please contact me ASAP. It really is a good fun run. It’s approx. 28mls and each runner completing a leg of between 4 and 7mls. Run along Thames towpaths so fairly flat.
