I hope the above Member profile goes some way to explain why the Committee have seen fit to bestow upon me the honour of being your President. As I sit writing this after my Sunday run at Virginia Water, and reflect upon past achievements I am content with my lot. However, competing in the Runnymede Runners, Windsor relay last July was still a thrill which hopefully will be repeated this year (foot and mouth permitting) Yes, one race a year is about my limit now, although by the time you read this I will have run from Greenwich to Westminster in a straight line, being part of the support team at the London. It's such an exciting day out and brings back memories, some good, some bad but you soon forget those. Was it really nearly twenty years ago. Returning to the present, we must be one of the most popular clubs around with so many new members joining. This is obviously down to the friendly atmosphere created by each and every one of you. Remember running need only be the catalyst that brings such a nice bunch of people together.
Your friend and President - Bob Webb
