Many thanks for attending
our 17th Relay Marathon and we hope that you enjoyed the event. I would
like to thank the landlord at the Brickmaker’s and in addition we are most
grateful for the use of British Oxygen’s grounds and we are hopeful that
the club will be able to use these excellent facilities next year.
BOC
allow us to use the site free of charge, but do expect us to keep away
from certain areas of the site, which are clearly marked. This year we had
25 teams entered and 21 taking part on the day. With more marshals and
more red tape! we feel that this helped in keeping people within the
boundaries set down by our hosts BOC.
The results show team places at the end of each leg (follow your team
number) and at the end of the event. Some time penalties have been added.
The other results show cumulative and individual leg times. As usual the
runners are displayed in the declared order and this may have been changed
during the event. Apologies for any incorrect names, having trouble with
some team captains hand writing!
Congratulations to Stragglers for winning the overall competition. This
year we had four all Lady Teams and the trophy was won by Woking Chicks.
£500 was raised for charity, there were no expenses
Finally a big thank you to all members of Windle Valley Runners, their
friends and relatives who marshalled and officiated at the event, without
this help the event could not take place.
