10K went well as we had a
lot of bodies , not all were doing the 3 day event
There were approx 30 runners
Next was the 1mile not so well attended, very wet and cold
for a bank holiday Monday
As it was so wet and cold Wendy decided to set us all off at
the same time and it rained, but all over in about 8 mins,
thankfully so people could get off early,
Lots
of support by Woking members, who opened up the race track and
marshalled the event, (great show)
The hills were next on the Tuesday night and we had a fairly
good turnout as quite a few bods turned up to support anyway. As
usual lot of us were bitten alive by lots of little bugs. Barry and
his mrs Steph were very kind again and hosted the award proceedings
and sorted out the results in a very speedy time (I’m sure Barry
will post them to you)
The usual bananas, beer, crisps, chocs, fruit juice were laid on to
replenish our energy
Wendy informs me that £50 was raised towards the local charity Well
done WENDY!
