Many thanks for attending
our 13th Relay Marathon and we hope that you enjoyed the event.
I would like to thank the landlord at the Brickmaker’s, St Johns for their
attendance and in addition we are most grateful for the use of British
Oxygen’s grounds. I was particularly pleased to see British Airways back to
compete in what turned out to be a fairly close race during the early and
middle stages.
The results below show
team places at the end of each leg (follow your team number) and at the end
of the event. The other results show cumulative and individual leg times.
As usual the runners are displayed in the declared order and this may have
been changed during the event. Ranelagh mixed team asked not to be placed
as they had several runners going twice/three times.
£210 was raised was for
charity, there were no expenses. It was encouraging to note that with 21
teams competing the slowest team was just on three and half hours. This
year we had three all Lady Teams and the club committee will discuss buying
a Ladies trophy for next years event.
Finally a big thank you to
all members of Windle Valley Runners, their friends and relatives who
marshalled and officiated at the event. Without this help the event could
not take place.
