Pam Berriman reports
Well done all you WVR ladies who braved the biting winds of the south
coast. With the sea crashing against the promenade and spraying everyone
on route you all set off in good spirits leaving behind a sea of black bags
, old jumpers , sweatshirts and Frank Bruno -- who joined in after
officially starting the race ( got a photo of him) and at six miles looked
as if he was out for a stroll!!
At six miles Wendy thundered past followed by Colin Woods and another
WVRunner( name please anyone !) Tony followed looking strong and happy
too! Kerry had a good run followed by Ginni again looking cool! Well done
to Terry , Janice and Karen who all looked good .Apologies to anyone I have
missed please give details if I have Ta .
A quick change of sides for us as we managed to cross the road to cheer you
on just before the finish -- this appeared a little harder for one and all
this time as the wind oh that biting wind -- was in your face ! Still only
a few hundred yards to go and you did it !
Well done- yet again - to the ladies for a brilliant turn out for the club
and hope you were all pleased with your times - you definitely deserved a
medal running in that wind !
