We were blessed again this year with fine weather as the previous year.
The turn out from the club was a staggering three, Mike, Wendy and Katie flying the
colours!
The course for this
year was slightly different with an added 1.2 miles of road due to some
rather large earth works, which have been happening over the last few
weeks.
The overall performance
was good with many newcomers attending and two rather naive young ladies
who decided to ride side by side and discuss the forthcoming run... the
draft buster had other ideas and after explaining and demonstrating the
two foot rule they were allowed to carry on in single file...
Wendy must have been
greased lightening because I/we missed her totally (sorry Wendy nothing
personal) but Mike we saw and after the very quick piece of bike
maintenance and slightly late start was on his way 9:22 for the swim and
still smiling. Out for the bike and away on the 22km.
Upon return some 40 odd
minutes later still smiling, bike racked and out for the run, same course
as last year but with the addition of a little mud and finally home AND
STILL SMILING. 1:18:40 well done Mike!!!

This was Katie's first Triathlon and she did
very well, enjoyed the event,
and is due congratulations. She now has a time to Beat next time !!
